Happy 2017, next up James McGraw not Scuffing

James McGraw ended 2016 with this awesome video demonstrating what 2017 will bring to the wonderful world of flatland bmx. Check out this video and ping James McGraw on Facebook whenever you need some pointers of what to expect. He writes; “2016 has been the best year for me, I won 5 events as well as year end title for the AFA. It has been a year filled with Turbines, backyard variels and Crosswalks. I started this year with Scuffgate a Challenge to do my combos with minimal or no scuffing at all. I put a lot of work in to what I call my no kick rollback turn down to underside / ice cream. this trick is one I started 7 years ago with a kick in, now it is scuffless and I have achieved my goals of many no kick combos as well as a few minimal kick combos. The Last line I took my rollback turndown to the other side of the bike using my pedal step walk around. This challenge was the hardest thing I personally I have ever done and the best part is, I have been trying for weeks to end this video with this combo and it happened 🙂 on the last day of 2016 finishing off what truly has been my best year ever. I am so grateful for all my sponsors and friends that support my craziness thru out the year. I hope you like this.”  ...

Rider Spotlight: Jeff Scheer

Adam Guild posted this on Facebook and I was blown away! Jeff writes: “I started riding BMX in 1985 and wanted to mark my 30th year of riding, along with my 43rd Birthday on October 25 with a flatland edit. I pushed myself to learn many new tricks and filmed them all in 2015. Since I have been riding three decades it seemed appropriate to include many brakeless decades. Enjoy and keep riding!”...

Flatlander Spotlight: Annul Pale

Getting back into the Flowzine of things, found out about this guy Annul Pale. It reminds me of riding in the slums of the Dominican Republic, but whats strickingly different is that Annul started riding in 2005 and lives the current generation of riders. I like his dedication to learning new tricks and stuff, maybe he can learn some rolling tricks instead of packed in spinning tricks. Either way, pretty cool stuff coming all the way from...

Schools Out – Miami’s In

These boys were right in my backyard and I missed it. Well now that school is out lets tear apart the streets of Miami…who’s coming with me?! Wish that I knew these dudes were in town, hope there a next time. They shredded all the spots I walk by nearly every day, and most importantly they had all total disregard to the guard in Brickell. Hahahah that was hysterical! Here is what we copied from the YouTube posting: Miami. What a crazy place. The entire Odyssey team spent a week in this outrageous palm tree and concrete jungle, and every day was a struggle. Tom Dugan, who’s back was already tweaked prior to the trip, had his bike stolen the first day. Jacob Cable fell deathly ill and was bedridden for most of the trip. Our Airbnb host tried to steal our bike rack, and our jet ski tour guide lost his shit when we were, according to him, being too reckless on the jet skis (he worries too much and also needs to chill). And we got kicked out of a lot of spots. And not just kicked out, but brutally screamed at and degraded, or even physically attacked. But the Odyssey team will not be stopped.   These guys rode as hard as they could every day, banded together against those trying to prevent us from doing our thing, and filmed a damn fine video, even in the face of so much adversity. Enjoy! Featuring Aaron Ross, Brandon Webster, Broc Raiford, Gary Young, Justin Spriet, Jacob Cable, Matt Nordstrom, and Travis...
